Champagne is the most sparkling of the French regions. On this enchanting terroirlabeled HVE (High Environmental Value), the winemakers produce treasures of wealth under three appellations: Champagne, Coteaux-Champenois and Rosé-des-Riceys, but also a liqueur wine: Ratafia de Champagne. Since 2015, hillsides, houses and champagne cellars have been listed as World Heritage Sites (UNESCO).

The Champagne wine region is divided into four main areas: the Montagne de Reims, the Marne Valley, the Côte des Blancs and the Côte des Bar. Champagne terroirs (villages) are classified into three categories: Champagne Premier Cru, Champagne Grand Cru and Champagne.
