From Muscadet to Saint-Pourçain, the wine history of the Loire Valley is written over 1000 km on the banks of the longest river in France: the Loire. It covers 86 AOCs in 5 sub-regions: the Pays Nantais, Anjou-Saumur, Touraine, Center and Auvergne.

To the West, it is the kingdom of Muscadet where the Melon de Bourgogne draws a unique freshness from the salt mists. Around Anjou-Saumur and Touraine, the Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc grape varieties reveal their full potential. In the Center, on the outskirts of Sancerre, the Sauvignon Blanc has found its favorite land. Across these various terroirs, the microclimates in turn determine how to make dry, semi-dry, sweet, sweet, and even sparkling wines.
